Town look forward to their 24/25 season opener as Burscough visit the Recycling Lives Ground.

Following a great pre-season and numerous new signings the Ridge are raring to go.

The Opposition

Last season, Burscough finished one place behind Longridge in 20th place.

The sides traded blows with Town running out 4-1 winners at the Community Ground with the Linnets winning 3-1 in the reverse fixture.

Despite aa solid summer, Burscough suffered a managerial departure on July 17th, just prior to the new season with gaffer Dave Dempsey departing for Northern Premier League Premier Division Prescot Cables.

However, Dempsey shortly returned due to complications at Prescot.

Non League football, eh.

With both sides desperate for a good start with tough games to come, Saturday will make for a cracker.
