The away support in the past couple of weeks has been fantastic, continuing that would do the Ridge's chances of staying in the play-offs the world of good.

So much so that with a win, Town could rise as high as 2nd.

After a fantastic performance during the week against AFC Liverpool, The Ridge will be looking to extend their winning run to three matches.

They'll face a side with a less than ideal start.

The Opposition

REMY have had a very tough start to the season and find themselves 20th.

However, they've played just eleven matches, leaving them with two games in hand.

Plus, a 4-2 victory over Squires Gate on Tuesday was a massive boost.

They've also got a decent record against Longridge at their ground.

Last season, the REMY ran out 3-1 winners following an Elliot Taylor brace.

However, with the striker departing to AFC Liverpool in the summer, they've found goals harder to come by.

In saying that, attacker James Hammill is flying away in the goalscoring charts, having scored 11 of the club's 18 league goals.

He's actually top scorer of the Premier Division, just edging out former teammate Taylor with 9, making the one to watch fairly obvious.

Last time out was only a month ago, as a single Liam Atkinson strike was enough to earn Longridge a 1-0 win over REMY at Inglewhite Road.

The Ridge will expect a physical battle, exactly what Litherland have posed in the past couple of years.

This season looks to be no different with REMY sat 7th in the discipline table, following 20 yellow card and three reds.

Team News

Fun fact, Longridge are the only team in the division yet to draw a game.

Not that we're complaining.

Liam Atkinson made his return to the side with a bang on Tuesday having missed the last four games.

He bagged a superb strike late on to seal the three points.

For a final piece of news, five absolute heroes will be walking from Kendal Town FC to Longridge Town FC, taking over the space of two days from this Friday to Saturday.

They are doing it to raise money for the MND association, a cause that means a lot to us.

They will also be doing the journey in memory of George Melling and Barry Ollerton.
