Jack played in the West Lancashire League Premier Division last season with Wrens where he excelled scoring 17 goals despite his side ending the season in the bottom half. Arrowsmith can play off either side, though has mainly been deployed down the left for Town so far either at left wing back or left wing. A tricky winger with pace to burn, Jack has picked up a couple of goals in pre-season and is sure to cause problems for opposition defences in the coming months.

Following his latest signing, manager Lee Ashcroft added: “There are good young players to be found in the West and East Lancs Leagues and ‘Arrows’ is a another one that we’ve been lucky enough to bring in. I watched him myself for Wren Rovers, after he’d been spotted by a colleague, and was impressed straight away. He’s very direct, has good pace and a lovely left foot. We sold Jack (Anderton) to FC United with Arrows in mind and he’s not disappointed, scoring a couple of goals in preseason and looking a real threat. Another great lad off the pitch, he’s a big part of this group of young lads off the pitch and plays with a smile on his face. The supporters have taken to him already and he looks like he’s enjoying his football.”
