Two avid groundhoppers from Germany were in attendance as The Ridge fell to a 3-2 defeat against Irlam at Inglewhite Road.

They very kindly stopped to speak with us after the match to give their thoughts on their experience in PR3.

After being asked what attracted them over to watch Ashey's young Reds, they said:

"We came on holiday to England a few years ago and every time we come we go to football matches and search for games in our area and this year it was Longridge!"

"It was a very nice stadium and professional because in Germany we have been to club level 10 and 11 and it's not as professional as here is and we are both very impressed so we think it is a very nice ground".

When asked about the game itself they responded:

"It was a nice game. It was a great level and there were a lot of goals so was very nice".

"There is a possibility and a chance that if there is to come here we will come back here, of course".

Tim and Tony also attended Preston North End's 3-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday today as they continued their groundhopping ventures!

Every credit to them and we hope to see them again soon.

Meanwhile, our next home game is against Stockport Town on Tuesday 14th January at 7:45pm.
