It's becoming desperate times for Longridge as they remain one of four sides in the Premier Division without a win in the opening month of the season.

Town conceded a 100th minute winner on Tuesday and look to bounce back against the Isle of Man who have started the season well.

The highlights from Tuesday's game can be viewed on the club's YouTube channel, the link to access is here: https://www.youtube.com/@LongridgeTownFootballClub

The league table isn't looking too healthy with the Ridge sat in 22nd place. A win now would do everyone at the football club the world of good.

Saturday's game will also see another pound for the ground competition. Be sure to enter pre-match to be in with a chance of winning the half-time jackpot.

Opposition

Whilst Saturday's visitors remain one of the more intriguing sides in the division for obvious reasons, they are no strangers to Town. With two games between the sides last season ending in a win a piece.

Focusing on the home game, Isle of Man ran out 3-1 winners with goals from Lewis Roberts, Michael Williams and Sean Doyle overturning an early header from Dean Ing. As for this season though, the Ravens currently sit 5th in the table after a great start.

The obvious one to watch is Sean Doyle. As mentioned he scored the third goal in their victory over Town at the Recycling Lives Ground but he also bagged a 21 minute hat-trick in the reverse fixture at the bowl, but with Town running out eventual 5-3 winners.

Info for Visiting Supporters

If last year is anything to go off, the Ravens will bring over a fair few supporters. The Forest Arms is the best footballing pub in Longridge. It is located on Derby Road and is a 7 minute walk from the ground.

There are a host of other pubs in Longridge that are very much in walking distance of the ground including the likes of Tap & Vent, The Dog Inn and Bull & Royal.

However, the closest one is the Alston. Which just so happens to be right next to the Recycling Lives Ground. As an away fans dream the pub is on the way to the ground and is barely a two minute walk away.

Team News

Thankfully for Longridge, the injury list has shortened. Both Kier Barry and Jack Anderton are back in the side again after suffering knocks that had kept them out, but the absence of Dean Ing in Saturday's game is sure to be felt.

Ishaq Ibrar is also set to miss out after hobbling off in Tuesday's defeat to Ramsbottom. Luke Smith will also be back in for starting XI contention after missing Tuesday's match due to fatigue.

Jack Arrowsmith now has a date for his ACL operation, which will take place in October. The February Premier Division player of the month hopes to be back in action late this season but will not rush back. He believes to have learnt his lesson after coming on earlier than he should've against Isle of Man back in April.
