Town look to bounce back from a disappointing day in Liverpool last weekend.

A win or a draw will secure safety, if the concern was even there to begin with.

However, on the other side, the hosts will be looking to continue their surprise play-off push as we enter the business end of the season.

A side that Longridge don't have a great record against and happen to be one of the division's form sides.

A win to bring into Tuesday night's LFA Cup semi final against Southport would be massive.

The Opposition

After six straight seasons of mid table finishes, Irlam are having their pop at the play-offs.

Their squad is full of quality so it's easy to see how they've had the season they've had.

Striker Declan Daniels rejoined in the summer after a spell at Bury.

His 24 goals have propelled his side up to 6th, three points behind West Didsbury who currently occupy the final play-off spot.

Captain Jascon Holt has been essential to the backline though, playing in all but one game this season.

Not to mention Jack Mitchell.

The midfielder has played every game and racked up 13 goals in the process, including a brace in the reverse fixture.
