Information for visiting supporters

If the past couple of years are anything to go off, then the Isle of Man will bring a good following.

As such, we'll help recommend for any newcomers to PR3.

As for a pubs, the best two footballing ones in Longridge that also happen to be in close proximity to the ground are Wilfrid's Club and The Towneley arms.

Wilfrid's are kindly offering member prices for Isle of Man supporters on matchday before and after the game.

Also, we are very dog friendly at the ground.

The Opposition

Isle of Man, formed in 2019 are an ambitious football club.

The island have been travelling all over the North West in the last two years in order to chase promotion.

Last season they finished 9th, after having came from two goals behind to win 3-2 over Longridge near the end of the season.

However, the improvements Town have gone under since cannot be overstated.

Last time out, a single Harvey Roberts goal was enough as Town ran out 1-0 winners in Douglas two months ago.

However now the Ravens sit 6th, level on points with the play-offs places.

Striker Sean Doyle loves a goal against Longridge, bagging 5 goals in as many matches against the Ridge.

Doyle is also, not very coincidentally, the Ravens' joint top scorer so far this season, with eight goals.

Stephen Whitley also has eight. He joined them last season and scored the winning goal in that 3-2 win in March.

Attacker Dean Pinnington has also returned to The Bowl, following a short spell at Bury.

Their squad is certainly stacked with quality up top.

However one thing is certain, Saturday will add to the amazing run of 'for the neutrals' games, like every other game between the two sided has been.

Team News

The Ridge will be desperate to get back to winning ways.

Following late disappointment at Glossop, Town have slipped down to second bottom in the form table.

On the flip side, a win in Saturday could see Longridge rise back up to 9th, and back in touching distance of the play-offs.

Owen Watkinson is set to remain out for the foreseeable, whilst Ashcroft will be hoping Connor Newton's newly picked up hamstring injury isn't anything serious.

Luke Smith will also be suspended, after getting sent off for a head to head at Glossop.

To be a bit more positive, stand in skipper Ryan McLean will be looking to keep up his 100% ever present record, having started all 21 games this season.

Meanwhile Leighton Hewitt could also keep an ever present record, while Luke Smith will lose his.
