Town look to climb off the foot of the form table whilst earning a first win in six games.

Pilkington still reside in a relegation battle, just four points off safety.

They can't secure their safety no matter what happens on Saturday, but three points would put them in a commanding position to do so soon.

We are now entering the final four fixtures of the 2024/25 season.

Pilkington (H) - 29th March
Burscough (A) - 5th April
West Didsbury (A) - 12th April
Prestwich Heys (H) - 19th April

The Opposition

In the reverse fixture, Town ran out winners in a nine goal thriller between the two in September.

Ryan McLean got proceedings underway after just 45 seconds, before Jordan Dainty stroked Town back into the lead on 26 minutes after the hosts had equalised.

The hosts levelled again after a wonder strike from Oliver Filson, but Matt Van Wyk raced one-on-one with the 'keeper to restore the lead.

The attacker then went on to grab another three goals to finish the game with four.

Ryan Beigan bagged a lovely consolation in the dying stages as it finished 6-3 to Longridge Town.

Beigan will serve as our one to watch for the weekend.

His 20 goals have contributed massively to the Green Army's survival push.

However, striker Freddy Garbutt has nine man of the match awards in just 20 appearances this season serves as a concern to the Town defence.

He backs it up with 8 goals.

Former Town midfielder Harrison Kay is also plying his trade for the Pilks nowadays.

Whilst it'll be good to see him back, the boys will need to stop him from showcasing his quality.

Ben Fletcher made his 150th appearance for the club on Saturday too.

Ryan McLean will make it 100 LTFC appearances this Saturday, should he play.

A reminder that places for the coach trip to West Didsbury & Chorlton remain available.
