This Saturday brings the final game of the 2024/25 season.

After a long, hard and injury ridden season, we look to hopefully finish on a high.

We will be hosting an easter egg hunt at 2pm just prior to kick off.

The Opposition

Meanwhile, on the pitch we take on a side who look to have completed the great escape.

In saying that, they're not mathematically safe, there would need to be a 13 goal swing with both fixtures, including them and Colne.

It's not impossible, but it would be crazy, even for the North West Counties.

Prestwich Heys were routed to the bottom of the table by January, ten points off safety.

However, somehow they managed to band together and grind out enough points to drag themselves out of the drop zone.

This included a 2-1 win over Town in the weekend's reverse fixture.

Jack Anderton scored directly from a corner, but it mattered little as the Heys grabbed a late winner, courtesy of Michael Burke.

On paper, Prestwich Heys are one of the form sides in the division.

They've gathered recent wins over Colne, Barnoldswick and Irlam to push them towards safety.

Attacker Takura Sambizi has been no small part of that.

His five goals since February have played a massive part in their great escape.

Former Town attacker Connor Martin now turns out for Heys also.

Despite defeat away at play-off bound West Didsbury & Chorlton, the performance gave us reason to be confident.

For once, there's no new injuries to report.

Hopefully, the future looks bright, with the end of the season now upon us, we're looking to have a big number of players back in training before the new season.
