Pound for the ground
Town's full attention now turns to Tuesday night's County Cup semi final.
National League North side Southport will make the journey over from PR8 as the Sandgrounders look to make it 12 times champions of the competition.
The gate will open at 6:30pm.
A reminder that we are offering an optional matchday deal to anyone attending the fixture.
It costs £13 for entry but includes a pint and a pie or pull pork sandwich.
We are also hosting another pound for the ground as well.
For those unaware, the half time raffle can be entered at any point up until the break by going up to the bar or by speaking to one of our sellers walking around the ground.
You can enter as many times as you want with tickets £1 per entry.
The Opposition
The LFA Cup represents a trophy for manager-less Southport.
They sit 16th in the National League North and will no doubt be up for Tuesday.
The squad includes a lot of quality.
Should he play, winger Danny Lloyd (formerly of Stockport County and Peterborough United) will pose great danger.
His 11 goals see him top of the Southport scoring tree.
Former Preston North End striker Jamie Proctor may too lead the line.
Their abundance of attacking talent including Marcus Carver, Dior Angus and Danny Philliskirk means they've got strength in depth.
As mentioned before, they've won the LFA Cup an astonishing 11 times.
No doubt they'll want to add another.
