With pre-season concluded, familiarise yourself with all the new lads

It's been a busy summer on and off the pitch for Lee Ashcroft's men, with nine incomings completed.

Following a few departures, Ashey has been busy to bulk the squad back up.

First up, forward Owen Watkinson has returned to PR3 following his departure from Colne.

Watkinson originally joined Longridge from Blackpool in 2020, then managing to earn a move to Northern Premier League side Marine.

Following a brief stint a Colne, he has now joined Longridge Town for the 2024/25 season.

Next up, Longridge Town can also confirm the return of Jordan Dainty.

The attacking midfielder has had spells had Atherton LR and AFC Liverpool but has rejoined the Ridge for the 24/25 season.

Defender Connor Newton is the third and final returnee with the defender joining from Mill Hill for a second time.

Newts will add much needed depth to the back line and we are delighted that the big defender is back.

Now for new faces.

We have added the addition of versatile midfielder Tom McCann.

Tom made the move from fellow Premier Division side Colne and has had an impressive pre-season, playing at both central midfield and right back.

We're delighted to confirm that he will be joining us for the 2024/25 season.

We are delighted to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Jordan Gidley.

The 'keeper joins the Ridge from First Division North side Nelson FC.

Jordan has fantastic experience in and around this level with the likes of Barnoldswick Town, Padiham and Charnock Richard.

Town have also added to their forward line with striker Liam Atkinson signing on.

The forward has looked incredibly sharp in pre-season for Town after making the step up from Sunday league, scoring six goals.

Former Bolton and Glossop North End defender Nathan Whalley has also signed for the 24/25 with the right back bringing in crucial reinforcements.

Late on in the week, Town also added two young and hungry lads to the fold.

Fulwood Amateurs captain Ben Trafford joined up with the boys to add quality depth to the backline.

Former Burnley and AFC Fylde youngster Jacob Bridges also committed to the club for the season and Ashey more than happy with another midfielder in the ranks.

All of these new lads are available for sponsor, please contact Joanne.Cummings1@btinternet.com with any enquiries.
