The Ridge look to bounce back from Tuesday night's semi final heartache by winning a big three points against a well drilled St Helens side.

This game begins a big double-header that sees two straight Saturdays at home in Longridge.

The Opposition

With the reverse fixture around just a month ago, the St Helens will be all too familiar to Town.

Last season, St Helens finished 1st in the First Division.

Not so coincidentally, but they were the best performing side of the four promoted into the Premier Division and are now the best performing side of the four now.

The Stripes sit 8th after a very successful first season in the Prem.

Born in 2014, Saint Helens are up there with the younger clubs in the Division but also the strongest, after winning 7 of their first 10 games.

They sit 8th but have suffered two straight defeats.

However they did recently mastermind a 3-2 comeback against Ramsbottom United on NWCFL groundhop day.

Top goalscorer Joseph Barker will be looking to add another to his goal tally, after bagging in the reverse fixture victory over Town.

Saturday will be their first ever visit to Inglewhite Road.

Team News

Town will be looking to break a duct of three games without a goal, by far the longest for quite some time.

However, to say they've been in those games would be an outright lie.

They've been bolstered by the return of strikers Liam Atkinson and Matt Van Wyk, following over a month out with a hamstring injuries.

Unfortunately, defender Mitch Marshall will be out for the rest of the season, with the potential for a lot longer after suffering a horrible knee injury on Tuesday night.

Jack Arrowsmith is back in light training though, following his two year reoccurring ACL injury.

Luke Smith also played his first game back from a four match suspension on Tuesday, after being sent off against FC St Helens.

Lewis Richmond and Tom McCann remain out.
